Jedat releases electrostatic damage verification tool for photomasks

2025.06.23

Jedat Inc. (headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Kazutoshi Matsuo, hereinafter referred to as “Jedat”) will release a new function for verifying electrostatic damage to photomasks in the SX-Meister series PowerVolt (V19.0), scheduled to be released at the end of June 2025.
During the manufacturing process of large photomasks for flat panels, pattern destruction due to static electricity can occur, resulting in significant cost losses during manufacturing. Until now, it was impossible to verify this in advance using design data (CAD data), posing major issues in terms of quality and cost.

In response to requests from photomask manufacturers, Jedat has developed an analysis model to verify the risk of electrostatic damage to photomasks, and by combining this analysis model with the base of PowerVolt:

– High-precision resistance extraction function
– Logic operation and device definition function
– DC analysis function

Jedat has become the first in the world to realize the risk verification of electrostatic damage to photomasks using CAD data before mask manufacturing.

This will significantly reduce manufacturing cost losses and greatly contribute to improving quality.
